If the concrete truck can park within reasonable distance of the pour site, a line pump is usually all you need. We carry enough hose to reach most standard residential setups without repositioning the truck.

What To Expect On Pour Day

Our line pump crew arrives with everything needed to get hose laid and ready before your concrete truck turns up, so there’s no standing around once the pour starts. We run steel and rubber line from the truck to your slab, footings, or driveway, working around fences, gardens, and finished areas so nothing gets damaged in the process.

Most residential jobs across Maitland, Thornton, and Lake Macquarie are set up within 20 to 30 minutes once we’re on site, depending on hose length and access. Once the pour is underway, we keep pace with your concreter’s team so the slab finishes level and on time.

When the pour is done, we flush the line and clean up before we leave, so your site is left tidy. If your job has tricky access, tell us the details when you call and we’ll bring the right length of hose and crew for it.

HOW IT DIFFERS FROM A BOOM PUMP

A line pump feeds concrete along the ground through hoses. A boom pump lifts concrete using a hydraulic arm and places it from above. For most residential jobs, a line pump is cheaper and faster to set up. A boom pump is only needed when the pour is large, at height, or the concrete needs to go over obstacles.

For a typical house slab or driveway, a line pump also means less site disruption. The truck can often park on the street or in the driveway itself, rather than needing a wide, clear boom set-up area. That makes it the practical option for tighter suburban blocks where a boom pump’s swing radius simply won’t fit.

LOCAL CONDITIONS

The Hunter Valley’s soil conditions matter when pouring concrete. Reactive clay soils common around Maitland and Cessnock can cause ground movement that affects foundations. Our operators work with your concretor and builder to ensure the pour method suits the slab design specified by your engineer.
